The film, written and starred by Woody Allen, depicts a big Humphrey Bogart fan who dreams of becoming Bogart all day long, and even his wife can't bear to leave him. So he looks for a new partner and ends up finding a friend's wife. Director Herbert Ross developed the film from Humphrey Bogart's image in "The Bourne of North Africa". The final scene completely repeats the scenes of "The Bourne of North Africa", but the plot is exactly the opposite, thus creating an indescribable sense of humor.
